Welcome to Jarvisgreyhound Music

Music for Percussionists…and other instruments too!

Thanks for stopping by my new website!  It's still under construction, so please forgive the mess and stop by often as I continue to build, download, add on and improve posted material.  My main goal is to have my compositions all in one place; both the new self-published works and the “golden oldies” published by other companies. I will provide both audio tracks and/or videos of my music when and where I can.

I have always tried to compose music that: 1) is enjoyable to play.  2) is “user friendly”. 3) will connect with any type of audience (musically inclined or not) on some kind of emotional level, be it happy, sad, serious or humorous. I was once told by a dear colleague of mine that my music is very visceral, which is defined as “deep, instinctive emotions coming from the ‘gut’ rather than from logic or intellect.”  I was truly humbled and touched by such a beautiful compliment!  Hopefully you will feel the same when you listen to it or choose to perform it.

And by the way…why the name Jarvisgreyhound? I was very fortunate earlier in my life to have been part of a program to adopt retired racing greyhounds.  For over twenty-five years I was the proud “parent” of five greyhounds: Jerome, Rhett, Sammy, Perry and Bebop. When my last greyhound (Bebop) crossed over the rainbow bridge back in 2015, I decided I would name my company Jarvisgreyhound in their memory.  I've included some pics of them on the gallery page in case you're interested.

One more thing…I have added a Latest News section below where I will keep you updated on new compositions being written and what's happening in general.  Take your time looking around the website, listen to the recordings and watch the videos.  Thanks for visiting!
